Market Stalls Replacement Scheme, West Bromwich

Fitzgerald Contractors were appointed to deliver a market stalls replacement scheme in High Street West Bromwich for client Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council. The £450K scheme underlines the council’s commitment to the ongoing redevelopment and improvement of the town centre and key to this is upgrading to a modern and more attractive market.

Our scope of works over the 11-week construction period involved the removal of existing structures and reconstruction of six new market stall structures which has now been successfully completed. Site works involved installing new energy efficient solar powered roofs, and paving works to reinstate the public realm areas.

The scheme was carried out with an excellent safety record whilst ensuring robust Covid Pandemic social distancing measures were adhered to throughout construction, the overall scheme was completed on schedule in April 2021.
