Preconstruction Planning Proves Crucial at Hadley Park Highways Scheme

We’re pleased to announce that our highway improvement scheme on the A442 Hadley Park Roundabout in Telford, Shropshire, has been successfully completed with its grand opening ceremony attended by the Fitzgerald site team, local businesses, residents and a host of dignitaries including Councillors, the Mayor of Telford and representatives from Denso UK and Telford & Wrekin Council.

The varied scope of works involved the redevelopment of the existing traffic roundabout, a significant earthworks operation, living wall foundations, laying ducting, installation of lighting and landscaping works which included the provision of signage, tree pits and turfing.

Simon Middleton, Fitzgerald Site Manager said: ‘The opening ceremony was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the quality of work that our team and supply chain partners delivered. For me the planning at preconstruction stage helped massively – of particular note is the detailed traffic management strategy which helped the scheme to run smoothly’.

Fitzgerald delivered the scheme on behalf of Denso UK through its place on the Telford & Wrekin Council’s Minor Capital Works Framework and brings significant aesthetic improvements to the large traffic roundabout.
