The contract involved Undertaking upgrade works at the site to seek to reduce peak hours queuing and thereby to improve the overall experience to users and staff.

The works involved widening the perimeter road over the majority of it’s length to two lanes reducing queues and improving flow through or traffic. The creation of formalised pull in area, improved pavement finishes in both tarmac and new concrete slabs. The Re-profiling of the grass margins and improvement to the soft landscaping.New ‘saw tooth’ in-situ concrete retaining wall with parapet and hand railing. Precast concrete retaining wall protected by an un-tensioned vehicle barrier. Improved drainage and installation of an additional attenuation tank and improvements to the site entrance including introduction of a left turn only exit to reduce queues of departing vehicles.
