The Chair of the Trustees and the Chief Executive of the British Safety Council congratulated the 524 organisations who won an International Safety Award in 2014. This prestigious award, now in its 56th year, is given to organisations in recognition of their proven commitment to workplace health and safety.
The 332 organisations who won the award with merit are of all sizes, span all sectors and come from the United Kingdom, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and across the globe.
Lynda Armstrong OBE, Chair of the Trustees of the British Safety Council, paid tribute to all of the winning organisations at a gala dinner held in London on 25 April: “We congratulate all of the winning organisations on the awards they have received which are in recognition of their commitment and efforts to keep their employees and workplaces healthy and safe.”“Our vision is that no one should be injured or made ill by work. Across all of the winning organisations are examples of the dedication and hard work to ensure that the risk of injury and ill health is prevented. We commend the winning organisations and urge them to continue working with us to ensure that our vision becomes a reality.”
