Fitzgerald (Civil Engineer Contractors)

‘Treecycling’ campaign

I am pleased to confirm this Christmas Fitzgerald Contractors will be supporting Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice in their ‘Treecycling’ campaign; full details are on the enclosed flyer.

St Mary’s hospice provides vital care to patients and families living with incurable illness across Birmingham and Sandwell, I am sure you will all agree this is an excellent cause, and would hope you are able to offer your support.

We are looking for volunteers from all employees, both office and site based, to collect Christmas trees and donations from homes in the Birmingham area on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th January.

Depending on the number of trees that are booked for collection, providing we have plenty of volunteers, I would hope we will be able to complete the collections on the Saturday, and that the Sunday will be just a reserve day to collect any remaining trees.

We are looking to put together a significant number of ‘collection teams’ consisting of a van and driver and 4 members of staff, to collect, load and take the trees to the local tip, and to collect any donations via a ‘bucket collection’, this will ensure all employees are able to help.

If you are interested in volunteering to help on the Saturday, and possibly the Sunday, please can you notify Sue Kenyon at the office by the end of November, to reiterate we are looking for volunteers from across the company, especially those who have company vans, as this will be critical in order that we can take the trees to the tip to be recycled.

The final arrangements are yet to be finalised, provisionally it will be meeting at Raddlebarn Road, Selly Park, Birmingham, on the Saturday morning.

In addition to offering our time and support to the hospice this Christmas, Fitzgeralds will also be making a charitable donation.
We trust you are able to support this extremely worthwhile charity that cares for patients and their families throughout the year and especially at Christmas.

Many Thanks

Nick
