Fitzgerald (Civil Engineer Contractors)

John Moore retires

After 32 years with Fitzgerald John Moore has decided to take an early and well deserved retirement.

John started with Fitzgerald on 6th September 1982 and has over the past 32 years undertaken a multitude of roles within the business. This culminated in his role as Pre Construction Director, where he has been invaluable in growing the business and the scale of the projects undertaken.

John had a wealth of experience that he was always willing to share with others, particularly with Clients and Professionals, where he was able to point out the error of their ways and explain to them how they should be doing it! It is this that has made him so well respected in the industry.

Managing Director Nick Coley commented:

‘On a personal level I’d like to thank John for the support he has given me over many years. John was always prepared to give his opinion and the benefit of his experience, his primary concern has always been for the good of the company and its’ staff.’ There is no doubt we are losing ‘part of the furniture’ with John leaving.

‘Lead by our Chief Estimator Karl Shaw, I am confident our Estimating Team will be able to continue to offer our Clients the support and service that ensures we are their first choice when selecting a Highways Contractor’.
